Domesday Reloaded

The BBC site http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/domesday

had data from the 1986 Domesday project which gathered words and pictures from across the UK to be put on Videodisc.  Originally we were able to enter a post-code to find contributions in an area.
Or we could try a place name.
E.g.  Here is a brief note about walking to Hadleigh Castle http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/domesday/dblock/GB-580000-186000/page/17
while
would  take the enquirer to “Housing in New Thundersley” for example.
