Schools Art Workshop 7th October 2011

Part of the Hadleigh Old Fire Station Open Studios Event

On the morning of 7th October, Hadleigh Junior School took part in an Art Workshop in the Appliance Bay of Hadleigh Old Fire Station, led by Marie Antoniou.  One of the students, Keanna Glessinger, seemed to capture the mood of the event, she said:
 “I like art because it is fun!”

While the children painted I asked what they liked about Hadleigh Castle.
Here are some of their thoughts:

It’s good for dog walks – Mary Payne;
It’s a really good place for picnics – James Phillips

It is a very good place to draw – Bradley Smith
I think it’s a great place for dog walkers – Rachel Bicknell

It’s a fantastic place to draw – Bradley Head
It’s a friendly environment – Charlotte George

On hot days you can have a picnic – Chloe Wells

Marie puts the individually painted squares together to form a picture, watched by Headmistress Mrs Debbie Allen and Leader of Castle Point Borough Council Mrs Pam Challis
