My great grandmother, Elizabeth Kemp if I remember rightly, bought “Hadleigh Hall‘ at the end of 19th century : it had a moat and there was a murder committed there and the weapon is in my possession – (has been handed down !) There was a book written about the murder. . . I think the Hall was used as a hotel : I would be very interested to learn more if you can help me.
