Hadleigh Heritage: Victorian Hadleigh

Talk and Exhibition

In late 2016, as part of a Lottery funded project, an exhibition was held at a Saturday coffee morning in St James the Less to illustrate Hadleigh life in Victorian times, including a display of a selection of local postcards provided by this archive. This attracted both regular churchgoers and a number of other local residents who would otherwise rarely enter the historic church.

Then, the following month, Bob Delderfield, well respected local historian, gave a presentation in the church on the same subject using old postcards and photographs to an eager audience keen to learn a little more about Hadleigh families and local heritage.
