H&TCA editors attended frequently during the demolition process. Video footage was captured of the chimney being knocked down and the top half of the wall fronting the High Street being pulled over.
Sadly, the date stone ended up in pieces with some of it still embedded in the wall. The brickwork around it was very well put together. The stone feature at the top fared a little better but appeared to be in more pieces than designed.
