The Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Hadleigh were colourfully started at Hadleigh Library  Saturday 28th May 2022. Congratulations to all the library staff who arranged a very interesting and interactive “Love your Library” day.
We later heard that one of the attendees had sent a letter of congratulation about the day.

It coincided with the Community Archive ‘drop in’ day, where folk are encouraged to bring in photos and any documents to share which may be of interest .

Complimentary refreshments were available,  Jubilee memorabilia displayed, and an automatic Community Archive four minute slideshow about past Royal Jubilee events played.  Several groups were intrigued by the slides and stayed for a tailored, on-line exploration covering areas of personal interest in Thundersley, Hadleigh and Canvey Island.
