Published this month (March 2023) are the Final Recommendations from the Local Government Boundary Commission for Castle Point. Here is their summary:
- Today we published our final recommendations for future electoral arrangements for
Castle Point Borough Council. - We are proposing that Castle Point Borough Council should have 39 councillors.
- Those councillors should represent 13 three-councillor wards across the borough.
- We are also proposing that the boundaries of all wards should change.
- We have now completed our electoral review of Castle Point.
- We are extremely grateful to the people of Castle Point who took the time and effort to
send us their views. - We considered every piece of evidence we received before finalising our recommendations.
Editor’s note: as a result of public responses to the draft recommendations, the graphics show that there are improved and more relevant names for the wards.
