Hadleigh Corner bus stop

circa 1920

This is a photo of my father Hector Faux, the driver of a bus belonging to the Hadleigh bus service. I believe the conductor was named  Tim Potter. Hector would have been about nineteen years of age at the time.  Fred H. Norman who ran the bus company was to become his father-in-law some three years later.

The signpost bears the legend Rayleigh   2 1/4 m, London 36 3/4m
