Memories of Kamastone

Kamastone was 66 Beech Road Hadleigh.    Actually the house was situated just a few yards behind the old British Legion hall that was down Castle Lane.

It  used to be my home and before myself, that of the Newman family.

Sadly, it was demolished in 1969 to become part of the Endway car park; the related Compulsory Purchase order is detailed here.

  • The name Kamastone is a town in South Africa, I wonder if there was a Salvation army missionary connection with the property in the past.
